I'm so happy to see this new message board! I love this "outlet" because it affords us to talk & still remain anonymous. That is until God shows up & you are set free, then you don't care WHO knows your secret because it no longer has a hold on you! But that's for another day. The reason I'm writing is to say hello & wish my best to Mary & the In Our Midst staff. They are doing a phenomenal work not only with this site, but in every life they touch.
Please keep them and all abortion recovery ministries & related ministries in your prayers. We are out on the front lines waging a war against an enemy who has had control for a very long time. He's losing control & he doesn't like it! PRAISE THE LORD!
So, please use this board for encouragement for all who read it to keep marching on in this vital ministry of abortion recovery!
Blessings,
Sheila Harper

There is freedom in sharing your abortion because others will see your transparency and that they are not alone.  We are starting our first Saveone Bible Study out here in Southern Ca and Sheila Harper -  thank you for your love, your insight and your compassion for help and healing. Some pastors are pro-life but get so passionate, they lose their compassion which doesnt do a church good unless it is balanced and preached at the pulpit. Jesus paid it all and our sin of abortion is covered by HIS blood. Find a pastor who speaks both sides and watch how good the Lord is at bringing people together!!

Hi everyone.  I'm Katrina Brummett with New Journey Ministries out of the Indianapolis area.  Our post-abortion ministry is about 4 years old.  I wanted to share one of the things we are trying within my church, which has approximately 7,000 people in attendance every weekend.  Because we all know that post-abortion folk typically will not approach material that is placed in public areas, we have utilized the "business card" idea developed by Abortion Recovery out of Piedmont Women's Center that has a very catchy picture and caption on the front and back on the card, along with contact information for the local ministry, and we place them in acrylic business card holders and place them in the restroom stalls.  Anyone that is in need of the information then can obtain it privately and securely, no one else knows.  We placed these in the stalls in early summer and although the contact numbers aren't astounding yet, we have received some very touching God-moments in women needing the help finding the cards at just the right moment.  In addition, the cards have created quite a buzz at church.  Would love to hear some other tactics that might be working for you...

Hi, I am from Upstate New York and have been volunteering for about two year at a CPC. We are in the middle stages of planning a seminar to introduce our abortion recovery program to be held in June. Our desire is to inform local pastors, women ministries, counselors and the medical professionals of the effects that abortions has on women.

We do have your books (The Secret Sin and Building Bridges) which both have been very helpful. But any other information or encouragement would be grately appreiciated.

Hi Tammy,

I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your post. I was out of town for a week then have been trying to play catch-up for the past 3 weeks!

It thrills my heart to hear that you are hosting this seminar! I pray our Amazing God goes before you, opening the hearts of those in your community to the plight of those wounded by abortion.

I'm so glad you posted here and that the two books -- Secret Sin and Building Bridges have been helpful. I would be happy to talk with you by phone to help you brainstorm about some other measures that might be most effective for the venues you mentioned.

Please call me at your convenience. I am usually in the center between 9 am and 3 pm (MT) Monday through Friday. The center phone number is (970) 663-9596. I look forward to talking with you!

Abundant blessings in Christ,
Mary
