The time has come to bring abortion recovery out of the proverbial closet, to give those wounded by abortion a place specifically for them in which to begin or continue their healing, to validate their pain and to provide hope for reclaiming their lives. We have adoption agencies, we have pregnancy resource centers, and now we have abortion recovery centers! What an exciting time this is to serve God on behalf of those wounded by abortion!
A Safe Place Abortion Recovery Center is opening in Loveland, CO on January 15th, 2008 to serve the needs of those wounded by abortion -- both women and men alike. We are also committed to providing resources and trainings for abortion recovery facilitators (new and experienced), pregnancy resource center staff, church leaders and members, and virtually anyone interested in helping those wounded by abortion.
The HEART of A Safe Place is to provide HEALING for anyone wounded by abortion; to EDUCATE the church and the general public about post-abortion issues; to raise AWARENESS (helping people connect the dots where post-abortion pain and the subsequent repercussions are concerned); to provide RESOURCES for churches, PRC's and other organizations pertaining to abortion and its effects, recovery programs, etc.; and to provide TRAINING for new abortion recovery facilitators as well as ongoing support and training for experienced facilitators.
In addition to these services, we will provide a monthly support group for those that have previously been through a recovery program, professional counseling referrals as needed, and speakers for banquets, conferences and other events.
