Many churches and pastors spend endless hours behind the pulpit discipling their congregations with the intent of moving them out of the pews and into the community. They inspire us to move beyond soaking up the bread and milk of the Word to going and doing and sharing to the lost and hurting masses of people around us in our cities and towns. And they are right to do so.

The problem comes when the pastors don't realize the level of woundedness within the lives of the people in their own congregations.... The huge numbers of abortion-affected individuals and families that are struggling with serious side-effects of a secret past abortion. [See Post-Abortion Syndrome symptoms at http://www.inourmidst.com/reactions_effects.htm.]

This forum is about reaching IN to the hurting people in our churches before we can reach OUT to the community. What does that mean? How do we do it? What can we do to affect a change?

Share your thoughts, ideas and insights here.... Be a catalyst for change on behalf of all those abortion-wounded people in your midst.

Abundant blessings to you in Christ,
Mary

You are right on target!  It is exciting to know that there are others taking these areas of needed healing to the next level.  We are developing a life center that provides expanded support emotionally, spiritually, and physcially/relationally in different traumatic areas of need...post abortion, post sexual assault, grief and loss, etc.  We call those services in our life center Post Crisis Intervention Services.  Thanks for sharing.  It is always such a blessing to feel a spiritual alignment with other believers, especially those working in the mission fields.  Abbie Smiley
